Overview
We're hiring a hands-on, high-impact infrastructure leader to take ownership of a modern, enterprise IT environment spanning cloud, networking, systems, and disaster recovery.
This is a player-coach role where you'll shape infrastructure strategy while staying close to the technology-leading a team and driving initiatives that directly enable business growth, scalability, and performance.
If you're someone who has grown through the ranks (systems, network, cloud) and now wants to own the full stack while building and modernizing at scale, this is a rare opportunity to do just that.
Why This Role Stands Out
- End-to-end ownership of infrastructure (cloud, network, systems, DR)
- Ability to drive Azure strategy and modernization initiatives
- High visibility and partnership with senior IT leadership
- Opportunity to build, mentor, and scale a multi-disciplinary team
- Key role in supporting growth and M&A integrations
- Balance of strategy + hands-on technical leadership
What You'll Do
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and develop a team across systems, network, and cloud engineering
- Define infrastructure standards, roadmap, and long-term scalability strategy
- Act as the senior escalation point and technical decision-maker
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
Cloud & Modernization
- Own Azure architecture, governance, and cost management (FinOps)
- Drive cloud transformation initiatives and hybrid identity strategy
- Ensure secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments
Infrastructure Ownership
- Oversee Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and lifecycle management
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), including performance and capacity planning
- Provide technical leadership across enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN)
Reliability & Resilience
- Own storage, backup, and disaster recovery strategy and execution
- Define and manage RTO/RPO targets across platforms
- Lead DR planning, testing, and continuous improvement efforts
Growth & Integration
- Support infrastructure integration for acquisitions, including migrations and network design
- Partner cross-functionally with security, operations, and project teams
- Ensure alignment with enterprise standards as the environment scales
What You Bring
- 10+ years of infrastructure experience, including 3+ years in leadership
- Strong background across Azure, systems, networking, and virtualization
- Hands-on expertise with Azure architecture (beyond basic administration)
- Deep experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and hybrid identity
- Solid knowledge of enterprise networking (routing, VLANs, firewalls, WAN)
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability environments
- Ability to lead at a high level while staying technically credible and engaged
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence across teams
Preferred:
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305)
- Networking certifications (CCNA/CCNP)
- VMware or virtualization certifications
- Experience with M&A integrations
Ideal Profile
- A former hands-on engineer turned leader who still enjoys being close to the tech
- A systems thinker who builds for scale, reliability, and long-term growth
- Someone who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments
- A leader who develops teams while owning outcomes end-to-end
Bottom Line
This is not a maintenance role, it's a build, lead, and transform opportunity. You'll have the autonomy and support to shape infrastructure at scale while staying deeply connected to the technology.
